Zoë Needle is an artist and printmaker based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire – working under her company name of Zoenso.
Her style comes from combining multiple printmaking and mark making processes in an unconventional way. Zoë collects found and unnoticed marks in every day life; combining influences from both urban and rural landscapes.
Zoenso wearable arts are jewellery collections that brings Zoë’s artwork to other markets.
Zoë’s latest collection is called Sumi Seas and created especially for the Eastgate Gallery – inspired by Dartmoor and the Devon coastline. The pieces are made from sustainable lasercut wood, laminated with suminagashi (a Japanese hand marbling technique) on kozo paper.
