Elaine Brett Rowlands is a new maker who has been involved in craft for much of her career, having owned a contemporary art and craft gallery herself for 25 years.
She now focuses on her own work, and and creates landscapes in clay. These are then cast in plaster before being finished with acrylic paint. In some pieces the scene is formed in relief (so the design is on the surface) and in some it is the negative, giving two different effects.
Elaine’s landscapes reflect her love of the countryside, gardens and plants. The designs are produced in limited editions, and as each one is hand coloured they are all unique.
The landscapes are all supplied ready to hang, with an option of framed or unframed, and various sizes.
